Description
Keto Popcorn Chicken that’s crispy, high in protein, and just 1g net carb per serving. Perfect for keto meal prep or game day snacks.
Ingredients
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp celery salt
1/4 tsp sage powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp chili powder or cayenne
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp ground mustard
2 scoops whey protein isolate (or almond/seed meal)
1/4 cup finely grated parmesan
500g (1 lb) chicken tenderloins, cubed
2 eggs
2 tsp Dijon mustard
Oil for frying
Instructions
1. Mix all seasonings with whey protein isolate in a large bowl.
2. In another bowl, whisk eggs with Dijon mustard and toss cubed chicken to coat.
3. Heat oil in saucepan over medium-high heat. Dredge chicken in spice mix.
4. Fry in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden and cooked through.
5. Drain on paper towels, season with salt, and serve with dip.
Notes
You can air fry instead of deep-frying for a lighter version.
Substitute whey with almond flour or sunflower seed meal for dairy-free.
Serve with low-carb sauces like blue cheese or keto mayo.
